A suspicious looking 17-year-old Arab resident of the Arab town of Jenin (Samaria) was stopped just outside the security screening section of an army courthouse in northern Samaria by Israeli security personnel on Sunday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the teenager arrived at the court in the morning at the army checkpoint and aroused the security guards’ suspicion when they were forced to ask him a number of times to undergo a body search which included the use of metal detectors.
During the check, a pipe bomb concealed in his underwear was found on his body. With the discovery of the bomb, the soldiers sealed off the entrance and army explosives specialists were called to the scene. The specialists neutralized the pipe bomb with two controlled explosions near the site.
The Jewish Press reported on Sunday night that an Arab firebomber was arrested after hurling molotov cocktails (homemade explosives) at Israeli Border Guard Police officers in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Abu -Tur, but not before he also managed to set himself alight.
One of his homemade concoctions got stuck in his hand as he was attempting to throw it at police when it exploded, burning him in the process.
The media outlet 0404 reported that in the predawn hours of Tuesday morning an Arab, from the town of Jalazon, was arrested on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack. The suspect was arrested by the Israeli Border Police undercover unit during an operation with IDF soldiers from the Binyamin Brigade. A publication on a social network, in which the suspect wrote a “farewell to the world” post, raised the suspicion that the Arab, a resident of the town of Jalazon in his 30s, would go out to carry out an attack in Judea and Samaria. As a result of alarming social media post, security forces were deployed in order to catch the suspect before he realized his intentions. The Border Police undercover unit operating in Judea and Samaria, together with IDF forces, managed to bring to night the suspect’s arrest in Gilzon, near Beit El, prior to his departure.
Unfortunately when many of the Arab population feel that their lives are no longer worth living, they turn to so-called “martyrdom” and attack Israeli’s. This behavior and preference for terrorism against Israeli’s has been preached and praised by Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority and others like him for many years. In his most recent speech at the United Nations Abbas said, “I salute our glorious martyrs and our courageous prisoners in Israeli jails.” Abbas was referring to those Arabs that killed our brothers and sisters because they were Israeli or because they sympathized with the Jewish people’s historical connection to the land.
In addition, the families of these so-called “martyrs” are eligible for a monthly salary, paid by the PA of a whopping $3,500, yes US dollars.
